Tottenham on verge of signing Evann Guessand
Tottenham Hotspur are growing increasingly confident of winning the race to sign OGC Nice forward Evann Guessand, according to a report from Football Insider.
The 24-year-old Ivorian enjoyed a breakout season in Ligue 1, notching 12 goals and 8 assists in 33 appearances. Standing at 6ft 1in, Guessand is a versatile attacker capable of playing both as a centre-forward and on the right flank—qualities that make him an attractive option for Spurs boss Thomas Frank.
Spurs Planning for Life After Richarlison and Son?
Tottenham currently have Richarlison and Dominic Solanke as their main centre-forward options, with Son Heung-min and Mathys Tel offering additional support. However, Richarlison has battled persistent fitness issues and has been linked with a summer exit, while Son is reportedly set to be sold after the club’s pre-season tour in South Korea.

With potential attacking departures looming, Frank appears to be moving quickly to secure replacements. Guessand has emerged as a serious target, but Tottenham face competition from Brighton, Wolves, and Fenerbahce.
Why Tottenham Are Leading the Race
Fortunately for Spurs, Guessand has no intention of moving to Turkey, handing them a crucial advantage over Fenerbahce. With Champions League football on offer, Tottenham are also confident of outmuscling Brighton and Wolves in the battle for his signature.
Despite having three years left on his current contract, Nice are open to selling Guessand for a fee in the region of £25 million—a price Spurs are reportedly willing to meet.
More Attacking Reinforcements Incoming?
In addition to Guessand, Tottenham are also in the market for a wide forward. The North London club have been linked with the likes of Bryan Mbeumo, Eberechi Eze, and Antoine Semenyo in recent weeks. However, their primary target appears to be Mohammed Kudus, with personal terms already agreed and negotiations ongoing.
With a busy summer ahead, Tottenham look set to revamp their forward line—and Guessand could be the first exciting piece of the puzzle.
