Juventus have announced the signing of Medhi Benatia from German champions Bayern Munich on a season-long loan deal for a fee of €3 million.
The Moroccan international joined the Bavarians from AS Roma in 2014, but struggled to make an impact at the Allianz Arena and has now returned to Serie A football for the coming season.
As per the statement on club’s official website, the 29-year-old has joined the Italian champions on loan for the 2016-17 campaign, but Massimiliano Allegri’s side have chance to make the move permanent next year.

The statement also confirms that the Turin based outfit have paid €3 million to sign Benatia on loan and it will take €17 million to make the move permanent in July 2017.
The centre-back future had been the subject of speculation since the Bundesliga giants signed Mats Hummels from Borussia Dortmund earlier this summer.
Benatia has made 46 appearances for the Bavarians in the past two years.
