Leeds United Target €25M Move for Brighton Star Facundo Buonanotte
Leeds United are eyeing an ambitious summer swoop for Brighton’s exciting Argentine talent Facundo Buonanotte, with reports suggesting a deal could cost around €25 million plus add-ons.
According to Fichajes, the Whites are keen to bolster their midfield creativity as they prepare for life back in the Premier League. With Daniel Farke intent on adding players with top-flight pedigree, Buonanotte has emerged as a prime target. The 19-year-old attacking midfielder enjoyed a promising loan spell at Leicester City last season and remains highly rated for his flair, vision, and technical skill.
Leeds are determined to avoid the fate of recent promoted sides, many of whom have suffered immediate relegation. To that end, they’re prioritising players who can deliver from day one—Buonanotte ticks that box, having gained Premier League and Championship experience already.
Brighton, true to form, are not willing to let their prized asset go cheaply. The Seagulls are demanding a €25 million base fee with another €10 million in performance-related bonuses. While that may be steep, Leeds’ solid relationship with Brighton—following last summer’s deal for Georginio Rutter—could ease negotiations.
Also on Leeds’ radar are Emiliano Buendía and Mateus Fernandes, but Buonanotte appears to be the name gathering real momentum. If Farke can sell the vision of regular game time and Premier League stability, the Argentine playmaker may just be tempted by Elland Road.
