Wolfsburg have secured the signature of Schalke 04 midfielder Julian Draxler on the final day of the European transfer window.
The German international had been heavily linked with a number of European heavyweights this summer, but the 21-year-old has opted to remain in the Bundesliga by joining the DFB Pokal holders on a five-year contract, that will keep him at the Volkswagen Arena until 2020.
The transfer fee believed to be in the range of €35m, according to The Guardian.
