Report: Man United to offer new contract to De Gea

Manchester United will reportedly make a final attempt to keep the Spanish goalkeeper David de Gea at Old Trafford by offering him a lucrative contract extension, according to The Mirror.

The 24-year-old shot-stopper is set to leave the Red Devils on a free transfer next summer after his proposed move to the La Liga giants Real Madrid collapsed on deadline day due to the mandatory paperwork not being completed on time.

The ten-time European champions are expected to secure the signature of the goalkeeper on a pre-contract agreement, six months before De Gea’s current deal expires at Old Trafford.

However, the report suggests Manchester United are considering to offer him more than he was promised by the Bernabeu side.

Here is how Man United fans react to reports goalkeeper will extend his new contract to remain with the Premier League giants..
