Arsenal in pole position to sign Omar Marmoush

Arsenal are reportedly taking the lead over Chelsea in the race to sign Eintracht Frankfurt striker Omar Marmoush in the upcoming winter transfer window. With the Gunners nine points behind Premier League leaders Liverpool after 18 matches, their inconsistent attacking form has raised questions about their current striking options.

Kai Havertz and Gabriel Jesus have struggled to deliver consistently, prompting Arsenal to explore reinforcements. Marmoush, a standout performer for Eintracht, has caught their eye. The Egyptian international has been in red-hot form this season, tallying 18 goals and 12 assists across all competitions.

According to Caught Offside, the Bundesliga side are open to selling the 25-year-old for a fee in the region of £50 million. While Arsenal are reportedly keen, Chelsea could also make a move, though their financial commitment might depend on offloading a marquee player like Christopher Nkunku, who has recently been linked with an exit.

For Arsenal, Marmoush could provide a much-needed injection of firepower and creativity as they aim to salvage their season. With Chelsea lurking, this transfer saga could be one to watch closely this January.
