The Premier League giants Arsenal have reportedly identified Bayer Leverkusen midfielder Lars Bender as the player to save the Gunners’ title hope following an injury crisis this season.
Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger is hopeful to make full use of the winter transfer window in January, with Santi Cazorla latest in a series of injuries blows.

Francis Coquelin and Mikel Arteta both are also ruled out of action due to injuries, the north Londoners are forced to rely on the French midfielder Mathieu Flamini and the England defender Calum Chambers to fill the void at the Emirates.
However, Wenger has made the 26-year-old Germany international Bender his top priority during the January transfer window, according to the Evening Standard.
The Gunners have already 10 first-team players sidelined due to injuries, though Danny Welbeck, Theo Walcott and Jack Wilshere are due back to the squad before Christmas.
Bender current contract to the Bundesliga outfit is valid until 2019.
