Bayern Munich have announced the departure of midfielder Sebastian Rudy to league rivals Schalke 04.
The 28-year-old playmaker only signed for the Bavarians 12 months ago but struggled for a regular place at the Allianz Arena.
The Bundesliga champions further added competition in midfield with the arrival of Leon Goretzka at the start of the summer to move Rudy further down the pecking order.

The Germany international has been heavily linked with a move away from Allianz Arena throughout the summer and has now secured a move to Bundesliga rivals Schalke with just a few days remaining in the transfer window.
Rudy racked up 25 league appearances last season but only 16 of those were starts.
