Fiorentina have confirmed that they have secured the signing of Spaniard Mario Suarez from Atletico Madrid.

The 28-year-old midfielder joins the Serie A outfit on a reported four-year contract, having enjoyed two successful spells at the Vicente Calderon.

Suarez has made just 11 La Liga starts last season – rejoined La Roja in 2010 and went on to win La Liga, the Copa del Rey and the UEFA Europa League during his stay at the Vicente Calderon.
