FC Bayern Munich defender Rafinha has put pen to a paper on a new contract, keeping him with the current Bundesliga leaders until 2018.
The 31-year-old, who previously had a five-year spell at FC Schalke 04 between 2005 and 2010, has opted to remain with the German champions until 2018.

“I’ve been here almost six years now,” the right-back said after the news was announced. “Bayern are like a second family to me and are one of the best clubs in the world.”
The Brazilian joined the Bavarians in July 2011 and has since gone on to make 124 league appearances, scoring three goals.
Rafinha becomes the second Bayern player to extend his contract this week, after Robert Lewandowski committed himself until 2021.
