West Ham striker, Andy Carroll is likely set to return before the end of the year, The Manager Sam Allardyce reveals.
The England international, who has been sidelined due to an heel injury that was picked up at the end of the last season and now the 24-year-old striker has been recovered and it has been reported that the premier league clash against Chelsea in November would be his potential return.
Allardyce believes Carroll’s presence will create more opportunities for other players as well as for him.
Allardyce told West Ham’s website: “Andy is the main man we bought in the summer to be our leader on the front line, once he gets fit and up and running again he will not only score goals but also create opportunities for lots of other players to score goals, He’s still in Belgium and improving week by week.”
He added: “We hope to speak to the specialist and hopefully he’ll be able to give us a date of when he’ll be back with us. It’s very important that we get him back as quick as we can.”
Carroll signed six-year contract with West Ham from Liverpool in 2013 for £15 million fee.
