Tottenham Hotspur wants to sign Italian striker Alessandro Matri from AC Milan to replace Jermaine Defoe, according to the reports in Sports Direct News.
The North Londoners are looking forward for a possible replacement for striker Jermain Defoe, who is ready to join MLS side Toronto FC and the former Juventus man would be considered as the perfect replacement option at White Hart Lane.
The 29-year-old striker, who joined San Siro from Bianconeri in summer has failed to perform good in this season, scored only one in 15 Serie A games.
The reports in Corriere dello Sport, suggests that Lazio are also interested to secure the services of Matri in January transfer window.
