Manchester City are reportedly plotting a January move to sign Borussia Dortmund midfielder Marco Reus, according to a report from the Daily Mail.
The Bundesliga club are on the verge of losing the Germany international due to a release clause in his contract, but they are determined to keep him at the club until the end of this season.
The reigning Premier League champions will have to make an offer of £20m to bring the 25-year-old winger at the Etihad, and Pellegrini’s side could also face tough competition from the German champions Bayern Munich for his signature.
However, the reports has suggested that City are prepared to offer Reus wages in the region of £200,000-per-week in order to secure his services.
Reus has won 23 caps for his country, who has scored two goals and provided two assists in five games for Dortmund this campaign.
