Italian club AS Roma are reportedly negotiating a summer move for Newcastle United defender Davide Santon, according to Corriere dello Sport.
The report claims that the Magpies are allegedly demanding a fee of around £8m for the 23-year-old’s signature, who can play on both flanks but Roma are unwilling to splash out more than £6.5m.
However, the Italy international has two years left on his current contract, who arrived the St James’ Park in 2011 from Inter Milan – making 82 appearances for the club over the last three Premier League seasons.
The Giallorossi should re-consider on their offer in order to secure his services as Serie A rivals AC Milan are also keen on the defender this summer.
