Real Madrid close in on Chelsea midfielder Ramires

Champions League winners Real Madrid are reportedly ready to launch a summer bid for Chelsea midfielder Ramires, according to Spanish newspaper Marca.

The reports says Real president Florentino Perez has given the green light in order to secure the services of Brazilian midfielder after having a chat with coach Carlo Ancelotti.

It is understood that the Bernabeu boss Carlo Ancelotti is desperately looking to add a midfielder to the squad ahead of next season, with the 27-year-old has emerged as a potential target for Los Blancos this summer.

However Chelsea boss Jose Mourinho is unlikely to sanction a deal for their star, who joined the Blues in 2010 from Benfica for around £17m, scoring four goals and two assists in his 46 appearances last term.

But Perez is widely known for getting all the transfer deal done at any cost that he wants, having signed world class players such as Cristiano Ronaldo, Luka Modric and Gareth Bale.
