Real Madrid Eye Rayan Cherki Transfer as Manchester City Set €100m+ Valuation
Real Madrid are reportedly preparing an approach for Manchester City playmaker Rayan Cherki next summer, with Spanish outlet Fichajes claiming the France international could cost more than €100 million.

Cherki’s Manchester City Form
The 23-year-old has contributed 17 goals and 18 assists in 68 appearances since arriving at the Etihad. His dribbling and creativity have reportedly impressed Jose Mourinho, who is said to view him as a priority ahead of 2027/28, given his ability to play on the right and in central attacking midfield.
City, however, are understood to have no intention of selling a player they see as central to their long-term plans, and a nine-figure offer would be needed to even open talks. Some estimates push the asking price towards €150-160 million.
Why Real Madrid Want Him
Madrid are reportedly planning for changes up front. Rodrygo’s recurring injury problems have raised doubts over his future, while Brahim Diaz could look for a January exit in search of regular minutes. Scouts are said to be monitoring Cherki’s output closely.
Informal contact between the player’s representatives and Madrid officials is expected in November and December, though any formal agreement looks a long way off. City’s ongoing financial regulation case is also being watched, as sanctions could alter their negotiating stance.
Our Take
Signing Cherki is hardly essential for Madrid, given Arda Guler, Yan Diomande, Endrick and Jude Bellingham are all options in those roles. Still, the Bernabeu club rarely shy away from strengthening a stacked squad, so Cherki looks more like a long-term target than an imminent one. With City reluctant to sell and the price so high, an immediate bid seems unlikely.
