Liverpool are planning a summer move for Villarreal centre-back Mateo Musacchio, according to talkSPORT.
Having a great season in La Liga, the 23-year-old defender has alerted some of the world’s top clubs, with Liverpool said to be in the top list for his signature.
The Reds chief Brendan Rodgers is keen to strengthen his defence line in the summer transfer market, after conceding 38 premier league goals this term and for the next year’s Champions League.
The Argentine footballer has been under Rodgers’ radar to bring him in on a free transfer, whose current deal will expire at the end of the season.
Spanish giant Barcelona are also keen on Musacchio, but a move to Anfield could get him a chance to play in first-team.
