Liverpool are reportedly looking to revive their interest in signing Bayer Leverkusen midfielder Julian Brandt.
The Reds are contemplating whether to trigger the release clause in the Germany international’s contract.
The Premier League leaders came close to signing the 22-year-old midfielder before last season, only for the Bundesliga outfit to persuade him to stay on with a new deal.
With Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp still looking to strengthen his midfield and attacking options, though, Bild reports that Brandt is back on Reds’ radar.
The report adds that the German negotiated a release clause of £21.6m, making him a cheap option for the Merseyside giants.
Brandt has been used 32 times by Bayer Levekrusen this term and the majority have come in the wide positions.
