Liverpool have reportedly made an approach to sign Ajax defender Devyne Rensch.
Liverpool are expected to make significant changes in the summer transfer window after experiencing one of their worst seasons in recent years.
The Reds manager Jurgen Klopp has publicly apologised for the disappointing 2022-23 campaign and has stated that he plans to strengthen various areas of the team.
There have been many rumours circulating about potential high-profile midfield arrivals to fill the expected departures. However, Liverpool’s recent draw with Arsenal highlighted the need for defensive reinforcements.
Reports suggest that the Merseyside outfit are considering making a move for Ajax defender Devyne Rensch who has established himself as a regular in the first team of Dutch giants. He has already made 28 appearances in the Eredivisie and European matches this season.
Rensch’s primary position making him a versatile player and a potential asset for the Reds. However, the current role is occupied by Joe Gomez, who could be sold in the summer if a suitable offer is made.
The Dutchman is under contract with Ajax until 2025.
