The Argentine striker Carlos Tevez has left Boca Juniors for Shanghai Shenhua in the early hours of Thursday morning.
The Chinese Super League side paid $10m USD to Boca for the services of 32-year-old forward. It turns out at a whopping 615,000 pounds a week that makes him the highest paid player in the world.
Boca Juniors posted a message on social media read as: “Good luck Carlitos. You will always be in our hearts.”
The veteran scored 25 goals in 56 matches in his second spell with the Argentine outfit after returning last year, helping them to win Argentina’s Primera Division and the Copa Argentina.
Shenhua finished 4th in the Chinese Super League in 2016.
