Chelsea close in on Real Madrid right-back?

Chelsea are close to agreeing a £28m deal to sign Danilo from Real Madrid, according to Brazilian outlet UOL Esporte.

The Premier League champions are now expected to reach an agreement with the La Liga champions for the transfer of the 25-year-old defender.

The report claims that the highly rated full-back himself is “convinced” that a move to Stamford Bridge would be the right decision for his development.

It is also reported that Danilo’s representatives will be arriving Europe in the coming days to push through a transfer to the west London club this summer.

Chelsea boss Antonio Conte is said to be on the hunt for a number of new players, with the Blues have so far signed Willy Caballero and Antonio Rudiger this summer.

Chelsea are likely to significantly strength their squad ahead of next season as Conte prepares his team for a return to the Champions League next term.
