Can Chelsea continue the winning streak against Sporting?

Chelsea have already been reached to the Champions League last 16, who are set to face their sixth and final match-day tie against the Portuguese outfit Sporting Lisbon on Wednesday night at Stamford Bridge.

The Blues have already collected 11 points after their five matches so far to sit four points above of Wednesday’s opponents Sporting Lisbon.

It is understood that Chelsea boss Jose Mourinho could make number of changes to their squad – Captain John Terry, Eden Hazard and Willian are likely to be rested, but number one striker Diego Costa is expected to play, despite his hamstring problem.

The west London club have won their last seven European games against Portuguese clubs, including the last year’s Europa League Final against Benfica.

However Sporting Lisbon can reach the knockout stages of Champions League for the second time if they avoid defeat at Stamford Bridge or if Schalke fail to beat Maribor.

The defender Cedric is suspended for the match, while the former Man United winger Nani is out with a thigh injury.
