Liverpool are reportedly weighing up a January move for the Spaniard Fernando Torres, reports the Daily Star.
The 30-year-old, who joined Italian club AC Milan, on loan from Chelsea, but has failed to impress in Serie A, scoring just once in 10 games for the Rossoneri this season.
Chelsea boss Jose Mourinho has already stated that he has no intention of bringing Torres back to the Stamford Bridge as the west London club already has Diego Costa, Loic Remy and Didier Drogba in his striking options – there isn’t much room for Torres, therefore his future into doubt.
However, the report has suggested that the Reds boss Brendan Rodgers is aware and could take advantage of the striker’s situation and could be in line for a sensation move back to the Anfield this January.
Torres spent three and a half seasons at Liverpool before joining the Premier League leaders Chelsea in a £50m deal.
