The report adds that Barca are willing to meet the €20m release clause of the 28-year-old attacker, who has previously endured a torrid season at Middlesbrough in the Premier League.
The Denmark international has scored eight goals and provided two assists from 25 appearances in La Liga and the Copa del Rey.
