Arsenal and Chelsea will reportedly go head to head for in a deal to sign Bayer Leverkusen striker Leon Bailey, according to The Daily Express.
The Blues are preparing an £85m bid to sign the Jamaica international to bolster their attack ahead of the 2020-21 season.
The report adds that Leverkusen would prefer to sell the 22-year-old forward to a Premier League club rather than one of their league rivals such as Bayern Munich.
The Gunners are also monitoring Bailey’s situation at BayArena and the north Londoners could launch a bid to compete with their west London rivals Chelsea.
The report goes on to claim Arsenal would need to raise around £60m funds to be able to secure a deal to sign the Jamaican this summer.
Bailey has netted six goals in 17 appearances for Leverkusen this season.
