The Hammers are in talks with the Italian club Napoli for a loan deal of Defender Pablo Armero, according to reports in the Daily Star.
West Ham manager, Sam Allardyce is keen to sign the Colombian international to reinforce his defensive department after the injury of Joey O’Brien during the Premier League draw 0-0 against Chelsea.
Allardyce thinks, Armero is an ideal replacement option of Joey O’Brien at Upton Park before the deadline passes.
The signing of the defender could provide West Ham with much needed cover at defence.
The 27-year-old Left-back, who joined Napoli on loan from Udinese in 2013 and later in summer transfer window, the Colombian made a permanent move to Napoli.
Following with his impressive displays in Serie A, Armero is likely to be in Colombia’s squad at World Cup 2014 in Brazil.
