Tottenham Hotspur have announced the club-record signing of Ajax centre-back Davinson Sanchez.
The Colombian international has put pen to a paper on a six-year contract, subject to a medical and work permit.
Sanchez, 21, who becomes Spurs’ first signing of the summer – has expressed his delight after agreeing on terms with the north Londoners.

The defender told the club’s official website: “I would like to thank the coach, management, players and fans of Ajax. It is a great move for me to come here to develop my career.
“I am very excited to be signing for such a famous club as Tottenham Hotspur. I am looking forward to working with Mauricio Pochettino and the players and meeting everyone there.”
Sanchez had previously been linked with the likes of Chelsea, Manchester United and Barcelona – leaves Ajax after scoring six goals in 44 appearances in all competition.
