Toni Kroos pens new RM contract until 2022

Real Madrid midfielder Toni Kroos has committed his long-term future by signing a new two-year contract extension, that will keep him at the Bernabeu until June 2022.

The 26-year-old, who moved to the Spanish outfit from Bayern Munich in 2014, was recently linked with the Premier League giants both Manchester United and Manchester City.

However, the Germany international has opted to remain with the La Liga giants.

A statement from Real Madrid’s official website read: “Real Madrid CF and Toni Kroos have come to an agreement on a contract extension which will see the player linked to the club until June 30, 2022. Toni Kroos will speak to the media tomorrow in the press room of the Santiago Bernabeu stadium.”

Kroos has been a key player at the Bernabeu, especially under the new boss Zinedine Zidane. Having played 108 games, scoring four goals, and winning Champions League, the Super Cup and Club World Cup during his time in Madrid.
