Real Madrid midfielder Martin Odegaard is hoping for a loan move in the January transfer window in order to play at higher level, says Guillem Balague.
The Norwegian attacker, who made just one appearance for the La Liga giants senior side since his high profile move to the Bernabeu but has featured more regularly – eight appearances for Castilla this term.

Spanish football journalist and pundit, Balague claims that the 16-year-old seeks a short term loan move elsewhere to continue his development:
“Real want him to stay and start improving himself, with no goals scored yet this season, but he would like to move on on loan. Conversations should take place soon about it.”
Although it’s more likely that Los Blancos would want him to stay in Spain, a potential loan move will undoubtedly alert a number of Premier League clubs.
