Real Madrid have reportedly set their sights on a deal for Chelsea midfielder N’Golo Kante.
According to Fichajes, Los Blancos have earmarked the 31-year-old midfielder as a potential signing.
With Kante’s contract expiring at the end of the season, he could be available for a cost-effective price in the current transfer window. The Spanish champions may seek to capitalise on his availability and secure his transfer to the Bernabeu this year.
In order to secure the Frenchman’s transfer, Madrid may need to make a generous offer to Chelsea, who have been linked with a number of players this month.
Despite adding players to the defence and attack, Chelsea’s midfield remains an area of concern that needs to be addressed this month.
With the transfer window closing soon, it will be intriguing to see if Chelsea boss Graham Potter can bring in a talented central midfielder.
Kante racked up 262 appearances for Chelsea since his move from Leicester City in 2016.
