Newcastle United are closely monitoring the rise of Marseille midfielder Boubacar Kamara.
The 21-year-old had an impressive 2020-21 campaign, starting 35 top flight matches and providing two assists as Les Olympiens ultimately secured Europa League football.
However, Kamara’s deal has 12 months left to run, and the France international has previously been linked with the likes of Liverpool and Barcelona.
Now, The Mirror reports that Newcastle United are intending to swoop for the youngster, who could be available in £15m due to the club’s financial situation.
Marseille already have a replacement lined up in the form of Matteo Guendouzi.
Kamara has scored three goals and made five assists in 122 appearances for Marseille.
