Newcastle United have reportedly joined the list of clubs wanting to sign Tottenham Hotspur attacker Steven Bergwijn.
The 24-year-old has failed to live up to expectations in North London and is supposedly free to look elsewhere in the ongoing transfer window.
Ajax have been heavily linked with a move to bring the Dutchman back to his homeland, and the Eredivisie champions are reported to have seen a bid of £15m rejected by Tottenham Hotspur.
90Min claims that Bergwijn is also on the Magpies’ radar, with the North East outfit seeking to bring in two new attackers following Callum Wilson’s injury.
Bergwijn, who is not due to become a free agent until the summer of 2025, has contributed only one goal and two assists in all tournaments this term.
