Manchester United step up interest in Harry Kane

Manchester United have reportedly stepped up their interest in Tottenham Hotspur striker Harry Kane.

Unless the 28-year-old extends his contract past the end of 2023-24, speculation will emerge regarding an exit from the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium during one of the upcoming transfer windows.

The Lilywhites rebuffed several attempts from the Premier League champions Manchester City last year, but it has been reported that the Citizens have moved onto other potential candidates for their forward role.

According to The Mirror, Manchester United have plans to make a move of their own for the England international as they look to replace Cristiano Ronaldo and Edinson Cavani ahead of next season.

It is understood, United may need to qualify for the Champions League in order to fund a bid in excess of £100m.
