Manchester United may consider making a move for Sporting Lisbon defender Goncalo Inacio during the summer transfer window.
The 21-year-old has been heavily linked with the Red Devils for the past year, and according to O Jogo, the 20-time English champions scouts were present to watch him in action on Friday.
Inacio impressed by scoring a goal in Sporting Lisbon’s 2-1 victory over Vizela away from home, further attracting the attention of Man United.
The Old Trafford outfit have been closely monitoring Inacio’s progress and could potentially approach Sporting Lisbon to secure his services in the summer.
While United’s primary focus currently lies on acquiring Kim Min-jae as a centre-back option, with a potential replacement for Harry Maguire next season, they could also pursue Inacio’s signing if Victor Lindelof decides to depart at the end of the season.
Lindelof is reportedly considering his options for the summer and may not want to remain as the fourth-choice centre-back at Old Trafford.
If Min-jae joins the club, he could serve as an immediate backup option to Raphael Varane and Lisandro Martinez in the upcoming season.
