Report: Man Utd keen on signing Real Madrid’s James Rodriguez

Manchester United have reportedly identified their prime target to sign James Rodriguez from Real Madrid in the January transfer window, report Daily Star.

The Colombia international, who joined Real Madrid from AS Monaco in 2014, has scored 17 goals in 46 appearances during his first season at the Bernabeu Stadium.

Rodriguez has struggled with injury problems throughout this season. However, the midfielder has a strained relationship with Madrid boss Rafael Benitez.

The report claims that the Red Devils are desperate for signing the 24-year-old playmaker and it’s believed that they have enough funds available to push with a swoop next month when the transfer window reopens in January.

It has been reported – Rodriguez is said to be frustrated at the Spanish capital and the United could take an advantage of his situation with a move worth £59m.
