Liverpool have reportedly set their sights on a deal for Chelsea’s Conor Gallagher.
The Reds manager Jurgen Klopp is eager to bring in reinforcements to improve the club’s midfield, and the 22-year-old midfielder’s arrival could be a significant step in that direction.
However, their priorities for the summer transfer window include the acquisition of Borussia Dortmund’s Jude Bellingham and Wolves’ Matheus Nunes.
The Merseyside giants are currently sitting in ninth place in the Premier League standings. The 2022/23 season has been a challenge for the club due to a misfiring midfield and key player injuries. The acquisition of Gallagher would bring much needed depth to the midfield.
Furthermore, the England international’s versatility will provide Liverpool with the ability to play various midfield formations.
So far this season, Gallagher has made 18 Premier League appearance, where he scored two goal.
Adding the Englishman to the squad could provide a much-needed boost and help the Reds finish the season with a strong finish.
