Liverpool are reportedly interested in signing Ousmane Dembele from Barcelona, according to Spanish outlet El Confidencial, as reported by the Daily Star.
The Reds are among the clubs considering a move to sign the Frenchman, who has struggled to adapt to life at Camp Nou since his move from Borussia Dortmund last year.
The report adds that the Merseyside outfit could sign the 21-year-old attacker next summer – so long as they match the club’s significant asking price.
It is suggested in the same story that any offer to try and prise Dembele away from the Catalan giants will have to meet the club’s asking price for the player.
Although an exact amount is not mentioned in the report, it is likely to be a huge figure, given that Barca are thought to have paid in the region of £97million to sign Dembele from German outfit.
The France international has scored six times and provided three assists in 14 La Liga appearances for Spanish champions this season.
The 18-time English champions are likely to be linked with a number of players as the mid-season transfer window draws nearer and gives manager Jurgen Klopp the chance to strengthen his squad.
