Leicester City view Juventus defender Gleison Bremer as a potential successor for Caglar Soyuncu.
Soyuncu’s playing time has been limited this season, as he has only appeared in four matches across all competitions.
The Turkey international is contracted to the Foxes until the end of the current season.
The centre-back is likely to move to Atletico Madrid in La Liga on a free transfer.
Due to their salary restrictions, Los Rojiblancos were unable to finalise a transfer in January and must now wait until the summer to acquire the 26-year-old defender.
Meanwhile, the Foxes are already searching for a replacement for the departing Soyuncu. Calcio Mercato reports that the East Midlands are eyeing Bremer, who joined Juventus last summer and is currently under contract until June 2027.
Bremer has started 19 out of Juventus’s 23 league games this season, scoring one league goal during a 2-2 draw with Salernitana in September.
According to reports, Leicester are willing to offer up to €40 million (£35m) for the Brazilian. However, the Bianconeri may need to reduce their wage bill as they are unlikely to qualify for the Champions League next season.
Currently sitting in seventh place in the Serie A table, Juve are 12 points behind the top four due to a 15-point deduction for alleged financial irregularities.
