Juventus: Patrice Evra out for a month

Juventus new signing Patrice Evra has been ruled out of action for around four weeks with a left hamstring strain, the Italian champions confirmed.

The 33-year-old defender will miss two crucial matches against Olympiakos in the Champions League Group Stage and Lazio in Serie A after suffered the injury during training last week.

The Frenchman has made just six appearances for the Bianconeri this season since he arrived from Manchester United in the offseason as a free transfer. He is expected to be back in action at the end of November.

The Frenchman underwent medical tests earlier today (Monday) which revealed a strain of the biceps femoris muscle in his left thigh, and he is estimated to return to action in 30 days,” read an official statement from the club.

Juventus are currently sit third in Group A of the Champions League, three points behind Atletico Madrid and Olympiakos.
