After a disappointing 2022/23 season without European football, the Old Lady are undergoing a squad revamp, and the future of Vlahovic is uncertain. Should the Serbian leave, Juventus’s bid for Lukaku will come into effect.
The β¬40 million offer comprises an initial fee of β¬37.5 million and β¬2.5 million in bonuses, similar to Inter Milan’s bid for Lukaku. However, Chelsea’s sale of Lukaku would mean a significant loss, considering the hefty sum they paid for him in 2021.
Lukaku previously expressed his desire to leave the Blues for Inter, but his refusal to approve Inter’s offer and engage in talks with Juventus may risk his standing with Inter’s fans. Despite past links between Chelsea and Vlahovic, it seems unlikely that both players will be part of a trade.
With the new season approaching, Lukaku must decide on his future, either returning to familiar surroundings at Inter or joining Juventus if Vlahovic departs. Until Vlahovic’s situation is resolved, all three clubs involved remain in limbo, leading to an unwanted saga unless a decision is made promptly.
