After Tuesdays nights games where Manchester city lost 2-0 at home to the Spanish giants Fc Barcelona, they’re odds have been cut massively. After a very poor display for Pellegrinni’s men, barely creating any real danger all game and at times looking scared of Barcelona and once they went down to 10 men and conceding a penalty, it was game over. After that they had a few half-hearted chances until Dani Alves finished the tie in the 90th minute. People will say that theyre is still another 90 minutes to go, but we all that they’re out.

More of the same last night from Arsenal, nearly identical situation as City, except it could have been a very different story for them. Having started positively and winning a penalty early on, it could have been a game changer, but it wasn’t as under pressure Mesut Ozil saw his attempt saved by Manuel Nueur. More woes followed for Arsenal when they went down to 10 men after Scesnzny saw red for his tackle on Arjen Robben, ordering them to change their game plan. Luckily for them, Alaba stepped up and missed the spot kick, leaving the Gunners with a glimmer of hope, soon to be ended in the second half by and outstanding Tony Kroos goal and a well worked team goal from Muller, to see then end the game, in probably a worse position than City the night before.
