Real Madrid forward Cristiano Ronaldo has won the most prestigious Ballon d’Or award for the fourth time capping an impressive 2016 for club and country.
The Portuguese international guided Los Blancos to last season’s Champions League silverware and also claimed three successful goals during his country’s run to their historical Euro 2016 triumph.
Ronaldo, 31, pipped Barcelona star – and five-time winner – Lionel Messi in this year’s voting.

Ronaldo, has scored 39 league goals across 30 games and has helped the La Liga giants to the top of the standings.
