AC Milan goalkeeper Christian Abbiati has insisted that he never considered about leaving the Rossoneri in summer and cannot think of joining another club.
The 37-year-old was heavily linked with a move away from the San Siro over the summer, following the arrival of Diego Lopez from Real Madrid.
However, the veteran shot-stopper is happy to remain with AC Milan for the 2014-15 season.
“I remained here because I am a Milan fan,” the Italian told Sky Sport. “After many years here, I couldn’t see myself in another jersey, even if there was the possibility to play more. In August I wanted to show that I was prepared to be part of the team and not only think about myself.”
Abbiati has played more than 350 official matches since he joined the club in 1998 from Monza and has made five appearances for Milan this season.
