Chelsea are the favourites to land QPR’s forward Charlie Austin this summer despite interest from top-flight clubs, according to the Express.
The 25-year-old impressed in the Premier League last season, scored 18 goals for a relegated Hoops who were poor throughout the campaign.
Following QPR’s relegation – number of top flight teams such as Newcastle United, West Ham United, Southampton and Liverpool have been linked with the England striker, who doesn’t want to be in the Championship next season.
It seems that Austin has caught the attention of Jose Mourinho with the west London club emerging as the favourites for his services.

The Blues are in need of a new striker after the release of Didier Drogba and the outgoing Loic Remy, who have been linked with West Ham United.
The Premier League champions are reportedly closing in on AS Monaco’s forward Radamel Falcao, as per Sky Sports.
It seems that the Colombian could be joined by Austin who would provide Chelsea with further back-up for Diego Costa.
