Barcelona have confirmed the signing of Atletico Madrid midfielder Arda Turan for an initial £24.1m fee, the La Liga champions have announced on Twitter.
The Turkey international had been in rumours to be linked with a move to Premier League giants Chelsea and Manchester United but the 28-year-old playmaker has ended speculation about his future move by signing on a five-year contract at the Nou Camp.

However, the former Galatasaray midfielder will not be able to play an official game for the Catalans until January 2016 due to a transfer ban imposed by FIFA.
The midfielder joined Atletico from Gala in 2011 helping the Rojiblancos to a La Liga title in 2013-14, as well as a Champions League final spot that same season.
Turan becomes Barca’s second summer signing following the arrival of Aleix Vidal from Sevilla.
