Arsenal are lining up a swoop for Aston Villa midfielder Douglas Luiz in January.
After being linked with the midfielder’s signature over the summer, the Gunners were believed to have had two bids rejected by Villa on deadline day.
According to The Sun, the North Londoners are considering another approach for the Brazil international when the transfer window reopens in January.
The report adds that Arsenal boss Mikel Arteta is concerned about Thomas Partey’s injuries, which could result in the club looking to recruit another midfielder.
While Arsenal were reportedly prepared to pay £23m for the Brazilian in the summer, their offer could drop to £15m due to his contract situation.
Luiz will have less than six months left on his current contract in January.
