Arsenal are deemed favourites to sign West Ham United midfielder Declan Rice, as Bayern Munich have withdrawn their interest.
The England international has been linked with a move to the Gunners for several months, and it is anticipated that an official offer will be made this week.
Although the Bavarians were also said to be interested in the midfielder, BILD has stated that they are unlikely to pursue the matter further.
Recently, Bayern manager Thomas Tuchel had a discussion with Rice’s father, but it seems that Rice is determined to continue his career in the Premier League.
As a result, Bayern’s chances of signing him are slim, and BILD reports that the club have shifted their focus to other midfield targets.
Currently, Rice is preparing for the Euro 2024 qualifiers against Malta and Ukraine this month.
Arsenal are reportedly planning to make a formal bid of £100m for the 24-year-old playmaker, but the completion of the deal may have to wait until he returns from international duty.
