Manchester United defender Luke Shaw return to training on Monday noon for the first time since the centre-back suffered a double fracture in his right leg last September.
Since then the England international was ruled out of action from an injury he sustained during a Champions League tie with PSV in Eindhoven.
Shaw’s appearance at training was confirmed by Juan Mata, by uploading a picture of the pair on Instagram.
Last week, Manchester United manager Louis van Gaal confirmed that Shaw would be back on the training. Going by Van Gaal’s prediction, it seems as the 20-year-old stands a bit chance of being selected for the Euro 2016 championship.
If Shaw doesn’t play a game for United before before the season is out then it is hard to see a way for Hodgson to pick him up for the tournament, that being played in the summer heat.
However, if he manage to play a couple of games for the Red Devils, then it depends on Hodgson, how he rates the options available to him in centre-back position.
