Arsenal are plotting a January swoop for Napoli defensive midfielder Jorginho after sending scouts to watch the Brazil international in action.
Jorginho, 23, joined the Serie A outfit from Hellas Verona in 2014 – has made 67 appearances for the two clubs, and the Gunners hold an interest according to the player’s agent, Joao Santos.

Santos said: “One of the head scouts of Arsenal is well-known, and so I know he was at Marassi for the Napoli match.
“If Napoli receive an irrefutable offer for Jorginho in January then it’s normal that we’d make our assessments.”
Having made eleven Serie A appearances so far this season, Jorginho his club to reach fourth in the table.
