PSG and Arsenal Eye Ibrahim Maza as Kvaratskhelia Replacement Search Begins
Paris Saint-Germain have reportedly turned to Bayer Leverkusen’s Ibrahim Maza, with Arsenal also keeping tabs on the 20-year-old.

Why PSG Need a Kvaratskhelia Replacement
According to Fichajes, the Algeria international has climbed PSG’s shortlist after Khvicha Kvaratskhelia ruptured his anterior cruciate ligament in the Champions League win over Barcelona. The Georgian was withdrawn on 59 minutes, and Ousmane Dembele also felt muscle trouble, leaving Luis Enrique short of attacking options.
Ibrahim Maza’s Form and Versatility
Maza has contributed three goals and three assists in eight appearances this season. Primarily an attacking midfielder, he can also play from the left and drift inside, a flexibility that suits Enrique’s fluid system.
Arsenal’s Interest in Maza
Arsenal are reportedly looking to bolster their left flank after Gabriel Martinelli and Leandro Trossard left in the summer, with Christos Tzolis arriving. Maza would give Mikel Arteta added competition out wide and another creative option through the middle.
Will Maza Leave Leverkusen in January?
Maza’s contract runs until June 2030, and Leverkusen have opened talks over a new deal with a significant pay rise. Should he turn it down, PSG could step up their pursuit. They are expected to keep scouting him before deciding whether to make a formal move.
Our Opinion
Maza looks an intelligent fit for either club, but PSG’s need is far more urgent. Arsenal’s interest feels more like long-term planning, so the Gunners may find it hard to compete if Leverkusen’s contract talks stall.
